Within the framework of the "Modernization of Irrigated Agriculture in Ararat and Armavir Marzes" project, staff of the Water Committee participated in a three-day training course covering matters related to the management and implementation of FIDIC contracts. Specialists involved in the execution of large-scale infrastructure projects at the Armenian Territorial Development Fund (ATDF) also took part in the training.

The purpose of the course was to familiarize participants with the core principles and specifics of applying the FIDIC contract system during the management of water infrastructure projects—spanning from project inception and design through to completion and handover. Within the framework of the training, discussions covered the fundamental principles of FIDIC contracts, risk allocation, claims presentation and management, dispute resolution, quality management, construction supervision, contractor reporting, payment processes, contract variations, commissioning, and project closure.
