Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, and Karen Daghbashyan, Deputy Chairman, conducted a two-day visit to Tavush Province to assess the priority issues of the province's water management sector, the condition of existing infrastructure, and ongoing works aimed at their improvement.

The second day of the visit commenced with a working consultation at the Noyemberyan branch office of the "Tavush" Water User Association (WUA), attended by Roman Aharonyan, Director of "Tavush" WUA, Hayrapet Arustamyan, head of the local branch, and several employees of the Association.

Subsequently, the Water Committee leadership visited the "Zeytun-Haghtanak" and "Zeytun 1" pumping stations in the Noyemberyan region, as well as a canal running adjacent to the Armenian-Georgian border line. On-site, the damaged sections of the canal were inspected, and potential options for their restoration and urgent resolution were discussed.

During the tour, the Debedavan main canal—specifically its collector-drainage sections—as well as the newly constructed Berdavan pumping station were also examined.

The Water Committee leadership also visited the "Gardenia Lebanese Farms" agricultural enterprise, where they were introduced to the cultivation of pine nuts, cedar nuts (pichi), pecans, chestnuts, and Italian walnuts. On-site discussions covered prospects for the efficient utilization of agricultural lands, expansion of irrigation capacity, and development of agricultural production within the context of targeted land consolidation.

During the provincial visit, the priority issues of Tavush Province's water economy were summarized—including the restoration of water infrastructure, enhancing reservoir safety levels, improving the efficiency of irrigation systems, and promoting the effective use of agricultural land—and subsequent steps for addressing them were outlined.
