The sewage problem in the Kayaran district of Masis in the center of attention of the Chairman of the Water Committee

Within the framework of a visit to the Ararat region a few days ago, Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, visited the Kayaran district of Masis city, where a sewage system problem that has remained unresolved for years exists.
Ghalamkaryan, along with Serob Harutyunyan, Director of the "Yerevan" WUA, met on-site with residents and members of the community council, listened to their concerns, and toured the district as well as the areas of the school and adjacent buildings affected by the issue.
To ensure an urgent solution to the problem, the Committee Chairman held a meeting-discussion today with Sedrak Tevonyan, Governor of Ararat Region, representatives of the governor's staff, Garik Sargsyan, head of the Vedi community, Sasun Miroyan, General Director of "Melioratsia" CJSC, Sargis Torosyan, local branch head of "Veolia Jur" CJSC, and officials from the Masis municipality.
Several options for resolving the issue were discussed and considered.
A decision was made that it is expedient to first provide an urgent and medium-term solution and clear the area of sewage water, and subsequently plan the initial steps for a thorough and long-term solution.
