Nvard Vardanyan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Water Committee of the MTAI of the Republic of Armenia, held a meeting with Manuk Barseghyan, Rector of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA), and representatives of the faculty.

During the meeting, issues regarding the training of professional personnel for the water sector, the modernization of educational programs, and the development of cooperation between the education system and water sector structures were discussed.

The Water Committee presented the sector-specific professional needs identified, particularly the demand for specialists in hydro-engineering, water resource management, irrigation systems, and the application of digital and modern technologies.

Emphasis was placed on aligning educational curricula with current and future sectoral demands, taking into account ongoing developments and existing challenges in the water sector. The parties highlighted effective cooperation between the university system and state structures as an essential prerequisite for developing competitive professional potential, modernizing water management, and ensuring sustainable development.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation aimed at effectively matching the sector’s professional requirements with educational opportunities, as well as developing joint programs and initiatives.
