On May 7, the newly appointed Standing Technical Commission on the Use and Protection of Water Systems held its inaugural meeting at the Water Committee.

Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, welcomed the attendees and expressed his gratitude to the commission members for their readiness to engage in selfless and dedicated work. He noted that all necessary prerequisites had been established to ensure the Commission's effective operations and expressed hope that future cooperation would be built on mutual trust and productive collaboration.

Composed of 17 members, the Commission plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of hydro-technical structures. The majority of its members are scientists and experts in hydraulic engineering and related fields.

During the meeting, Commission Chairman Volodya Narimanyan, speaking on behalf of the entire body, expressed thanks for the trust placed in them and assured that their work would be carried out with high responsibility and dedication. He then presented proposals for formulating the work plan in accordance with the requirements of the RA Government's decree "On Establishing the Procedure for Safety Inspection and Control of Hydro-Technical Structures."

At the conclusion of the meeting, certificates were presented to the members of the Commission.
