Today, the Water Committee of the MTAI of the Republic of Armenia hosted students and teachers from George Dunyants Primary School No. 154 in Yerevan.

Within the framework of the "Smart Screens for Schools in Armenia" project implemented by the "Visual Armenia" Development Foundation, the students are conducting research dedicated to the history, current state, and future of Yerevan Lake.

Acting Chairman of the Water Committee Aramazd Ghalamkaryan highlighted the importance of school students' involvement in research work, emphasizing that the participation of young people in studying water resource and environmental conservation issues contributes to expanding their knowledge and fostering a responsible attitude.

The students then inquired about the details of the Armenian delegation's visit to Japan. Tigran Qanqanyan, Deputy Chairman of the Water Committee, presented Japan's modern approaches to water resources management and their potential applicability in Armenia.

Gorik Avetisyan, Deputy Head of the Department of Environmental Protection of Yerevan Municipality, was also present at the meeting. He presented to the students the existing challenges regarding the cleaning of Yerevan Lake, the works carried out, and the steps aimed at the preservation of the lake.
