The Water Committee hosted a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Laziza Sabirova, the newly appointed Country Director of the ADB Armenia Resident Mission.

The discussion covered ongoing and planned initiatives and programs for water resource management and wastewater treatment implemented through the ADB within the framework of cooperation, specifically:

• The progress of feasibility studies for the Getik, Karmir Gyugh, and Garnahovit reservoirs;
• Opportunities to review the 2016 study for the Yeghvard reservoir;
• The current status of the Kaps reservoir;
• The Lake Sevan basin wastewater treatment project;
• The project for the protection of the Araratian artesian basin and more efficient use of groundwater.

During the meeting, Luc Foctman, Deputy Country Director of the ADB Armenia Resident Mission, announced his upcoming transition to a new role. Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Foctman for the productive ongoing cooperation and wished him success in his new position.
