Today, the 9th session of the Public Investment Committee was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Within the framework of the agenda, Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, presented the draft project for the "Construction of a Gravity-Fed System from the Her-Her Reservoir."

The objectives of the project are:

To ensure the efficient utilization of the 26 million m³ of water resources accumulated annually in the Her-Her Reservoir, expand irrigated land areas, and guarantee a stable supply of irrigation water.

Among the key outcomes of the project will also be:

Ensuring an additional inflow of 10–13 million m³ of water into Lake Sevan.

Providing irrigation water to 12 settlements in the Vayots Dzor Region. Through the pipeline to be constructed, it will be possible to utilize approximately 2,440 hectares of land for irrigation purposes, encompassing the settlements of Her-Her, Vayk, Malishka, Zedea, Agarakadzor, Yeghegnadzor, Getap, Arpi, Aghavnadzor, Rind, Areni, and Chiva.
