Chairman of the Water Committee Inspects Spring Preparations for Irrigation Systems in Armavir Province

Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, paid a working visit to Armavir Province, specifically to the "Shenik" Water User Association (WUA), to conduct an on-site inspection of the spring preparations for irrigation systems.

Within the scope of the visit, the Committee Chairman—alongside Samvel Sargsyan, Director of "Shenik" WUA, and sector officials—monitored the cleaning of canals, improvements to their technical condition, as well as ongoing repair and restoration operations.

During the visit, the officials toured the service territory of "Shenik" WUA, observed the progress of intensive orchard development—both newly established and expanding—and inspected daily regulation reservoirs that have been constructed or are currently under construction. In particular, the officials visited "Vanand Agro" LLC to observe their ongoing operations on-site.

Ghalamkaryan emphasized that the expansion of intensive orchards aligns directly with the strategic priorities of the Republic of Armenia, which in turn demands stable and reliable irrigation systems.

At the conclusion of the working visit, the leadership of the WUA assured that spring preparations ahead of the irrigation season will be carried out properly to ensure an uninterrupted water supply to agricultural farms.
