Today, a regular meeting of the interdepartmental working group—established pursuant to Prime Minister’s Decision No. 690-A of July 22, 2024, to develop the Water Sector Strategy, identify existing sector challenges, and formulate a corresponding action plan—was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

During the meeting, participants discussed the necessity of constructing biological wastewater treatment plants in the Republic of Armenia using advanced and innovative technologies.

Detailed consideration was given to the progress of ongoing projects, particularly planned efforts aimed at improving water resource management and wastewater treatment systems.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan issued relevant instructions to the responsible state agencies.
