A meeting chaired by Nvard Vardanyan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Water Committee, was held with the expert team providing technical assistance for the water supply subproject under the "Armenia. Resilient Syunik.”

The meeting was attended by representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Water Committee, and member companies of the technical assistance consulting consortium.

During the meeting, the consultants presented the results of the work carried out across seven communities in Syunik Province, including the outcomes of the identification, assessment, and classification process for settlements to be included in the project, as well as the conclusions drawn from consultations held with the local communities.

Participants discussed upcoming project activities and outlined the next steps.

Under the project funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB), plans are in place to assess options for improving water supply in approximately 55 pre-selected settlements in Syunik Province and to develop technically and financially viable design solutions.

The objective of the technical assistance is to contribute to the improvement of water supply systems and the development of sustainable solutions for settlements throughout Syunik Province.
