Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, visited the "Yerevan" Water User Association (WUA). Accompanied by Serob Harutyunyan, Director of "Yerevan" WUA, the Chairman toured the Association's service area, inspecting the operation of the "Tsitsernakaberd" pumping station, adjacent territories, and the current condition of the Hrazdan River.

The Water Committee leadership was presented with a new pipeline construction project initiated by "Yerevan" WUA and commissioned by the Yerevan Municipality. Upon completion, the project will allow water to be supplied to subscribers via gravity feed, securing energy savings.

The tour was followed by a meeting with the heads of local operational branches of "Yerevan" WUA. The Chairman of the Water Committee addressed the issues and proposals raised by the specialists, outlined avenues for their resolution, and presented the key priorities of the sector.

Ghalamkaryan emphasized that under conditions of land consolidation and the more efficient utilization of agricultural land, the proper organization of the irrigation system, timely and targeted water delivery, coordinated work with water users, operational management, and the reduction of water losses depend directly on the operational quality of WUAs.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the Water Committee noted that the foundation for a series of key transformations in the water sector has already been laid. In the upcoming phase, the primary focus will be on the consistent implementation of these works to build a more efficient, manageable, and sustainable irrigation system.
