Construction of a daily regulation reservoir (DRR) in the village of Aygehat, within the Alaverdi community of Lori Province, has been completed. The newly built facility features a 50,000 cubic meter capacity and is enclosed by a concrete retaining wall measuring 380 meters in length and 3.5 meters in height.

A professional group established by the Water Committee, alongside Sargis Davtyan, Director of the "Lori" Water User Association, inspected and accepted the completed works under the latest performance acceptance act.

The operation of the DRR is expected to significantly improve irrigation water availability, boosting the water supply reliability for approximately 500 hectares of irrigated farmland. Additionally, an extra 200 hectares of land will now become irrigable. The reservoir will also enhance overall efficiency in the distribution and utilization of irrigation water.
