February 19, 2026

During the meeting, Sasun Miroyan, Director of "Melioratsia" CJSC, presented in detail the work carried out over the past five years—specifically, the length of cleaned drainage systems, comparative data on volume operations, and the flow volumes of groundwater and other waters exiting the collector-drainage networks.

Reference was made to the clearing of problematic sections of riverbeds and flood control measures along the Debed, Pambak, Dzoraget, Shnogh, and Tashir rivers in the Lori region of Armenia, which were performed by the CJSC in 2025.

Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, emphasized the proper operation and maintenance of collector-drainage systems, highlighting that regular monitoring of groundwater levels and quality in the Ararat Valley holds major significance for both agriculture and environmental protection. He noted that systematic and consistent work will contribute to increasing efficiency in the sector and the targeted use of state funds.

Participants also discussed both volumetric and non-volumetric operations to be carried out using state budget funds in 2026 under the "Maintenance and Operation of Collector-Drainage Networks" program, as well as efforts to determine groundwater levels and quality in the Ararat Valley.

The Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Water Committee, alongside the Director of "Melioratsia" CJSC, visited the company's internal laboratory, noting that it requires both major renovations and substantial re-equipment.
