The "Knowledge Co-Creation Program on Management of Irrigation Water for Central Asia and Caucasus" organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is currently underway in Japan.

Naira Avetyan, Chief Specialist of the Department of Irrigation and Collector-Drainage Systems of the Water Committee, is among the participants.

The program includes:

• Technical maintenance and management of hydraulic structures,
• Sustainable management of irrigation water, as well as the safe and uninterrupted operation and maintenance of irrigation systems.

The acquisition of new knowledge, methods, and professional experience will be applied toward addressing existing challenges in our country's irrigation sector.
