A representative of the Water Committee participated in a workshop on wastewater management.

Armine Arushanyan, Chief Specialist of the Water Supply and Sanitation Systems Department of the Water Committee, participated in an online workshop held in Iran on "Sustainable Wastewater Management: Experiences, Challenges, and Roadmaps for Development," initiated by the Regional Centre on Urban Water Management (RCUWM).

During the workshop, participants discussed the current state of Iran's sanitation system, the management of recycled wastewater, as well as the threats posed by wastewater and the possibilities for the efficient use of treated wastewater.

The representative of the Water Committee delivered a report titled "General Information on the Wastewater Management Sector in Armenia," presenting the current state of the sector, existing problems, and the main directions for their solution through a slideshow.

The workshop was also attended by the Director of the Regional Centre on Urban Water Management in Iran, the Deputy Mayor of Tehran, and representatives from several universities and research centers.
